PITTS PARK |
|||||||
![]() Pitts Park is just off the square on the banks of the Soque River. The park has walking trails, picnic areas and spots for quiet reflection. Children enjoy the new playground equipment. Pitts Park is named in honor of Sam Pitts, a Clarkesville city councilman who lost his life battling a church fire during his service as a volunteer fireman. Clarkesville's fresh, clean water supply comes from the Soque, which originates in the county and empties into the Chattahoochee River. |
