Vision Statement

Our vision for Clarkesville is a hometown that is the focal point of entertainment, shopping, recreation and tourism for our community. It is a hometown that residents and the business community take pride in and visitors want to experience. People will be drawn here by beautiful historic buildings, clean sidewalks and streets, a variety of shops with unique offerings and ample parking, but especially by the good and friendly people who are our most treasured asset. People will come here from near and far to experience this special place.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to honor our Northeast Georgia heritage by preserving our rural character and sense of community. We will protect our historic architecture, strengthen and grow our business community, and promote wise stewardship of our natural resources.
