CLARKESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Clarkesville Police Department consists of five full-time and five part-time officers. Clarkesville has a very low crime rate, but the police force is fully trained to deal with emergencies and has up-to-date equipment at its disposal when the need arises. The men have a good relationship with merchants and citizens to keep commerce and traffic and everyday living running smoothly. The police department is also on call for animal control, and enforces the city's leash law, which requires that every dog over six months be licensed.
